We all wait. Be it in line at a supermarket, in traffic, at a doctor’s appointment, or voting. Waiting is tedious, and sometimes the outcome isn’t what we desire or not worth it. People need to make the most out of the waiting period in different situations in their lives.

They tend to put life on hold waiting for the right moment to start living again, especially after a tragic event. The joy of life is balancing the two—balance living on the mountains of happiness and navigating the valleys of sorrow.

Action has to be taken toward what life throws at us. We can try and hide waiting it out or choose to enjoy living through the hurt and pain that one might go throw. How do we work with waiting, and what do we do with it?

When we refuse to accept reality, we suffer. It blindly hinders or blocks opportunities that may be coming our way. We’ll likely not make any sober decisions but emotional ones. Accepting the reality of the situation facing us helps us live a positive and productive life as we wait for things to change.

  • Be honest with yourself.
  • Make changes in your life if required.
  • Evaluate reality checks from outside
  • Be someone who will understand, be realistic, and tell the truth.

“Waiting isn’t a hurdle keeping us from intimacy and from living our lives to our fullest. Instead, waiting is essential to how we connect as humans through the messages we send.”- Anonymous

Enjoy The Moment

Enjoy life even amid a difficult time. The world is currently dealing with a pandemic that initially put it in lockdown. We originally lived in fear as a people, but now life is slowly crawling back to normal. We have to deal with the battles and struggles beyond our control in a way that will not break us down but build us up.

  • Life is not only about waiting for bad seasons to pass or focusing on the joyous moments.
  • Life is also about learning to balance between the two and continue living.
  • We can not always avoid negative events, but we can live through them.
  • Be weary of waiting for bad events to pass, for sometimes they take longer than anticipated.

Embrace The Wait

We may not like it, but life requires us to wait at some point. Some things will start but not complete. We’ll at some point be between a beginning and an end. Waiting forces us to reflect, contemplate and imagine.

  • Let us reflect and allow the waiting to teach us.
  • Embrace the wait and accept the part it plays in our daily lives.
  • We end up learning more during the waiting period than what we were waiting on.

Not everything is meant to be. Sometimes the wait is a blessing in the form of a life lesson.
